Homesick!

Hi Bloggers!

I don't know about the rest of you but I am so ready for fall break! I miss home like crazy and cannot wait to go home Wednesday.  I have been sleeping pretty poorly lately, and waking up about six times a night.  I haven't been on my phone before bed and I am not stressed, so I don't know why I'm not sleeping well. Last night I was woke up by the Amber Alert.  I thought it was my roommates phone so I rolled over and yelled for her to turn it off because it had been going off for ten minutes it seemed, but much to my embarrassment, it was my phone screeching in the night.  I do think another factor in my sleeplessness is due to a minor injury.  As I think many people in the class know I blew out my knee last summer catching at the national tournament, and I lost my scholarship because of it, so its needless to say my knee is still pretty messed up.  Well, I was playing ultimate the other night at the Marsh, and I stepped in a hole in the process of trying to knock the frisbee out of someone's hand.  As soon as I tried to straighten my leg back I felt it pop out of place and then back in again. So for the nights following this I have been in pain.  I remember we discussed that when in pain, sleep is worse because you are so focused on the pain, then when you don't sleep it just adds to the suffering.  Hopefully with some rest from my heroic frisbee catches I can heal up my knee and get some good sleep!

  1. Sleeping with pain is the worse, you can never get enough rest. But maybe it's not the pain, maybe it's someone watching you while you sleep, patiently waiting for the moment to strike, and you keep waking up because your body senses it's being watched.

    1. Funny but creepy! You all need to take care of each other, not freak each other out. :)
